This list may change at any time due to State Directors or
Zone VP's Reclassifying the Teams.
The bylaws for reclassification may change at this years
convention and may affect the teams UPGRADED (moved up) for the following year.

for Reclassification: 2007
The entire roster of the Super World Champions must
ALL be UPGRADED (moved up) in classification.
Individual Players from the Super World
Champions MUST play UP in Class the following year.
No matter if they have 5 or more players returning.

UPGRADES or Move Up Rules for 2007 teams:
Important Note:
Players and/or teams not
participating in the NSA program for one (1) or more seasons will retain the
Classification they were upgraded to prior to taking an absence from the
National Softball Association.
The State Director and/or Zone Vice-President
have the authority to move any team up or UPGRADE in
Class at any time, due to the advanced play of the team in question.
TEAMS
on a MANDATORY Upgrade with NO APPEAL must move up at least one (1) classification.
Note: If they have 5 or more returning players or any combination of 5 players
from upgraded teams from
preceding years rosters. The coachs name should also be included on the
roster.
Note:
If you have LESS than 5
players returning or combination of 5 upgraded players, you still MUST appeal
in writing to be allowed to stay in the same classification. See
How to Appeal.
PLAYERS
on a MANDATORY Upgrade team with NO APPEAL can move up with their team
at least one (1)
Classification OR- if leaving the team MUST REMAIN AT THEIR CURRENT LEVEL
of CLASSIFICATION.
Individual Players from a MANDATORY UPGRADE team can ONLY participate at the
SAME or HIGHER
Class for the following year.
Players on Mandatory Upgrade teams CANNOT move down in Class the
following year!
If your team participated in D and is a mandatory upgrade to C
next year, Individual Players from this team
Can ONLY participate in the D or Higher Class programs next year.
The entire roster of the Super World Champions must
ALL be UPGRADED (moved up) in classification.
Individual Players from the Super World Champions MUST play UP in Class
the following year.
If your team WON the 2006 Super World Series and are moved UP in CLASS,
ALL Individual players MUST move up, you cannot stay the same class as in 2006.
The following teams must UPGRADE (move up) at least one (1) classification
(a)
Each Super NIT
Champion
(b)
All State
Champions
(c)
Super Regional
Top two (2) finishers or Top 10% whichever is greater
(d)
World Series
Top three (3) finishers or Top 10% whichever is greater
(e)
Super World
Series All qualifying teams accepting a berth to the Super World Series.
(Includes All At-large teams)
Note: Teams that have played as an At-large team will have their Classification
reviewed by the
Zone Vice-President and/or the State Director before their classification is
changed.
Teams may Appeal their mandatory re-classification in
WRITING:
1. State Championships - Winner may appeal in writing.
2. NIT
Tournament - ONLY with the provision that there were LESS than sixteen (16)
teams that participated in the NIT.
3.
Super Regional Tournament -
ONLY with the provision that there were LESS than sixteen (16) teams that
participated in the
Regional.
4.
World Series Tournament -
ONLY with the provision that there were LESS than sixteen (16) teams that
participated in the
World.
5. Teams that finished the Super World Series with records of 0-2
or 1-2 -OR- with a 2-2 record with one or more of the wins
were from a forfeit or failure for a team to show
up for the Super Worlds.
Not all teams can appeal their reclassification. See below
for teams that have NO CHANCE OF APPEAL

How to APPEAL Teams must appeal your
classification upgrade in writing or via email to your State Director
with the following information:
1. Reason you should not be moved up.
2. Rationale and documentation to
support your not being moved
up.
3. Roster of players you will have on NEXT YEARS Team.
4. If players are coming from another team besides the
team you are appealing for reclassification,
please include what team they played for.
ALLOW THE DIRECTOR
at least 10 days for review of the appeal! DO NOT WAIT A FEW DAYS BEFORE A
TOURNAMENT!
ANY TEAM RECEIVING AN APPROVED APPEAL will be based on this
information. Additions or
changes to your approved roster could
result in reclassification at ANY TIME!
The State Director and/or Zone Vice-President have the
authority to reclassify a team at any time.
Teams
that are required to upgrade with NO CHANCE TO
APPEAL in CLASS B are:
(a) World Series Winners with sixteen (16) or MORE teams have no
appeal.
(b) Top ten percent (10%) of the Super World Series Winners have no
appeal.
Teams
that are required to upgrade with NO CHANCE TO
APPEAL in CLASS C D E are:
(a) Winner of Super NIT with sixteen (16) or more teams have no
appeal.
(b) Top two (2) teams
in Super Regional with sixteen (16) or more
teams have no appeal.
(c) Top three (3) teams
in World Series with sixteen (16) or more
teams have no appeal.
(d) Super World Series - Class C - Top eight (8) finishing
teams have no appeal.
(e) Super World Series Class D and E All teams that finish
2-2 or better have no appeal unless with a 2-2
record one of the wins was from a forfeit or
a team that did not show up.
MOVE UPS FOR 2007 SEASON
Teams with - NO APPEAL must move up -
If team breaks up, Individual Players Stay @ 2006 Class or Higher
Teams that CAN APPEAL must do so in writing for
DOWNGRADING to stay at current class.
