All teams must abide by their local NSA tournament qualification rules as administered by their
respective State or Zone Director.  Teams will not be allowed to enter except through
their "Home State" or Zone Director.

NOTE: ALL TEAMS must be available to play Friday!  Managers Meeting will be on Thursday!
Entry in to this tournament constitutes acknowledgement and agreement to this condition.
Please DO NOT call the Tournament Director to request an exemption from FRIDAY,
as ALL TEAMS will be expected to play Friday!
The finals are tentatively scheduled to start Sunday, February 22nd at 3:00 PM.

ENTRY FEE & DEADLINE:
All Entry Fees, Entry Form, SIGNED copy of the NSA ONLINE Rosters, and other information
MUST
be RECEIVED by your respective State Director
no later than FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 6, 2009.  
Late entries will NOT be accepted. 
Entry fee for this event is $300.00   Money order or cashiers check only
.  
Personal checks will NOT be accepted, personal checks will be returned and you entry will not be official 
until we receive proper payment.  Entry fees & ENTRY FORM MUST  go through your State Director – 
NO EXCEPTIONS!
Under NO circumstances will a team
be permitted to submit a roster at 
the tournament site. 
Make Cashiers Check or Money Order payable to NSA or the National Softball
Association.

FORMAT: Three (3) Game Format
                

MANAGERS MEETING:  THURSDAY, February 19th - 7:00 PM  at Convention Center,
North Collier Regional Park, Front entrance to Softball Complex, behind the Water Park.

There will be a blind draw at the managers meeting.
Please, a maximum of two (2) individuals for each team.  All managers are REQUIRED to attend
this meeting.  Tournament rules will be discussed.

TOURNAMENT DRAW:    There will be a blind draw at the managers meeting for teams
First Game.
See above for details.

ROSTER CHECK IN:  Government Issue Photo ID is Mandatory for Check In.
Each player will be required to have a Government Issue photo ID at all times. 
 
Players will be checked in prior to participation in the tournament.
Names will NOT be added to any roster at the tournament site for ANY REASON.
  
Roster Checks may be conducted at any time during the tournament. 
Teams must have a copy of their "official" ONLINE roster with them at all times.
Roster must be signed by their NSA State Director or Regional VP.
Additional Roster Checks may be conducted at any time during the tournament.

PLAYING RULES: NSA rules will govern all play in strict accordance with the NSA Rule Book.

    NOTICE:  It is the responsibility of the Coach/Manager and/or Sponsor for knowing the NSA rules and bylaws.
    Ignorance of an NSA rule or bylaw does not negate the penalty.
    Entry in to any NSA tournament constitutes acknowledgement and agreement to all rules and bylaws of NSA,
    including the refund policy. 
There are NO entry refunds after the entry deadline.
    The NSA Rule Book contains full refund request policy, available online 24/7 www.PlayNSA.com  
   
If the tournament dates include a Friday Date, the team understands the Tournament MAY BEGIN
    ON FRIDAY, and that THE TEAM WILL BE REQUIRED TO PLAY ON FRIDAY.
    Entry in to this tournament constitutes acknowledgement and agreement to these conditions.

    NOTE:  ANY Team found with illegal, ineligible, suspended player(s) or teams that have not met the
    NSA Qualifying procedures will be immediately disqualified and removed from the tournament.  Teams will
    be removed without refund to their entry fee, and without reimbursement for any travel expenses or any other
    fees incurred by the team, spectators or sponsors.  The team, coach and player(s) can be suspended from NSA.

BALL: Official NSA optic yellow softballs are provided.

BATS:   Only NSA approved bats will be allowed.  Check the National Website for a complete 
and 
up to date listing of approved equipment.   www.PlayNSA.com  click on:  Approved Equipment
Please check bats by Manufacturer - Model NUMBER and NAME, if a bat is not posted on
the approved list, it will NOT be allowed.   
** Note: It is the coaches/players' responsibility
to check their bat(s) to the list prior to bringing them into play.

           
You may contact the manufacturer to inquire on the status of an unlisted bat.

PROTESTS:  All umpire judgment calls are final.  There will be a $75.00 (cash only) protest fee, paid at the 
time of protest.  If the protest is ruled in your favor, the money will be returned.

CONDITIONS: The tournament committee reserves the right to rule on matters as they occur, to change any 
game time, playing fields or dates, or make any other changes to conduct the tournament, including dropping
the losers bracket if necessary. The tournament directors, sponsors, hosts, and committee 
assumes that all players are competing at their own risk and will not be liable for accidents or injuries. 
Alcohol will not be permitted at any participating parks.
Entry into this tournament constitutes agreement of these conditions.

GAME TIME:   There will be no Time Limits in the Winter World Series.
It is required that all teams be AT THE FIELD, READY TO PLAY - 1/2 HOUR PRIOR TO
SCHEDULED GAME TIME
GAMES MAY BEGIN UP TO THIRTY (30) MINUTES EARLY IF FIELD IS OPEN.
Game time is forfeit time.

SCOREKEEPERS:  Line-up cards will be provided.
Please fill out the line-up cards with the first and last name of the player, uniform number and
their defensive position.  Please note subs at the bottom of the card.
Line-up cards need to be turned into the scorekeepers/umpire a minimum of fifteen (15) minutes
prior to the game.

HOMERUN RULEHomerun rule for the Winter World Series will comply with each division as stated
in the current NSA rule book.

AIRPORT: the SW Florida International Airport, Fort Meyers Florida is approximately 20 to 30 minutes from all of the fields.

ADMISSION:  There will be a $50.00 guest fee for each team in lieu of the $6.00 per person charge per day.
This fee will be collected at the team check in.  This should save money for each teams fans.

AWARDS:  Team trophies for 1st – 4th, Individual awards for 1st - 3rd, 12 All Tournament awards.
Pullovers for 1st place tam members, Golf style shirts for 2nd place team members, T-Shirts for 3rd Place team members.
Teams from many States and Canada will be there.  Come join the party.
