 Criteria for the awarding of post season umpire positions:

1. Attend One (1) of the following – National Convention and/or Zone Meeting Workshops

2. Attend Michigan State certification workshop

3. Be evaluated during the year with high enough recommendations

4. Amount of tournaments you are available for based on our needs for Umpires.

5. Attendance record for tournaments that you have requests and schedule to work for during the 2007 season.

6. Dress

7. Attitude and manors in which you conduct yourself at tournaments.

 STATE CERTIFICATION WORKSHOP for SLOW PITCH is Saturday, March 20, 2010
  at Potterville High School    9:00 AM - 4:00 PM

 STATE CERTIFICATION WORKSHOP for FASTPITCH and BASEBALL is Saturday, March 27, 2010
  at BOTH Schools in Potterville  9:00 AM - 4:00 PM 
            BPA will use the HIGH SCHOOL  -and-   FASTPITCH will use the MIDDLE SCHOOL

Umpires attending will be first to be eligible to work State, Regional, Worlds or Super Worlds
by attending one or more of the above Certification Workshops.

 Michigan NSA-BPA UMPIRE REGISTRATIONS for 2010:

TWO OPTIONS for PAYMENT - INSTRUCTIONS for 2010 Michigan Umpires Association:
Before your registration can be accepted and approved, your Michigan Umpire Association fee must be received. 

 Michigan Umpire Association Fees:
For ONE PROGRAM – Registration Fee of $40.00 USD
            (Choose ONE:  Slow Pitch / Fast Pitch / Baseball)
For a SECOND PROGRAM – an additional $5.00  (Registration Fee of $45.00 Total USD)
            (Choose TWO:  Slow Pitch / Fast Pitch / Baseball)
For a THIRD PROGRAM – an additional $5.00 (Registration Fee of $50.00 Total USD)
            (Choose ALL THREE – Slow Pitch / Fast Pitch / Baseball)

 For your convenience, MI Umpires have two payment options:
