 Criteria for the awarding of post season umpire positions:

1. Attend One (1) of the following – National Convention and/or Zone Meeting Workshops – January 26-28

2. Attend Michigan State certification workshops – March 3rd

3. Be evaluated during the year with high enough recommendations

4. Amount of tournaments you are available for based on our needs for Umpires.

5. Attendance record for tournaments that you have requests and schedule to work for during the 2007 season.

6. Dress

7. Attitude and manors in which you conduct yourself at tournaments.

 We will be posting an Umpire schedule of tournaments on the website in late January for you to set your schedule for 2007. *************************************************************

2007 Michigan NSA/BPA Umpire Information
  ·     Fast Pitch & Baseball Umpires: Attend the Zone Convention Workshop January 26-28, 2007 and you will receive $1
        more pay each approved tournament game worked.
·    Fast Pitch & Baseball Umpires: Attend the State Certification Workshop March 3rd, 2007 and you will receive $1
      more in pay each approved tournament game work.
 ·   Fast Pitch & Baseball Umpires: Attend both and that is a $2 pay increase per game.

Program pay rates without  workshop certification bonus included.
Girls Fast Pitch Rate - $28
BPA Baseball Rates – 8u-12u $33   *   13-14u $38   *   15-18u $43
Slow Pitch Rates - will be based on tournament site.

Umpires attending will be first to be eligible to work State, Regional, Worlds or Super Worlds
by attending one or more of the above Certification Workshops.

 Michigan NSA-BPA UMPIRE REGISTRATIONS for 2007:

TWO OPTIONS for PAYMENT - INSTRUCTIONS for 2006 Michigan Umpires Association:
Before your registration can be accepted and approved, your Michigan Umpire Association fee must be received. 

 Michigan Umpire Association Fees:
For ONE PROGRAM – Registration Fee of $40.00 USD
            (Choose ONE:  Slow Pitch / Fast Pitch / Baseball)
For a SECOND PROGRAM – an additional $5.00  (Registration Fee of $45.00 Total USD)
            (Choose TWO:  Slow Pitch / Fast Pitch / Baseball)
For a THIRD PROGRAM – an additional $5.00 (Registration Fee of $50.00 Total USD)
            (Choose ALL THREE – Slow Pitch / Fast Pitch / Baseball)

 For your convenience, MI Umpires have two payment options:
