Approved Equipment List:
BATS:
Only
NSA approved bats will be allowed. Check the National Website for a
complete
and up
to date listing of approved equipment. www.playnsa.com

check bats by Manufacturer - Model NUMBER and NAME, if a bat is not
posted on
the approved
list, it will NOT be allowed.
Note:
It is the coaches/players responsibility to check their bat(s) to the list
prior to bringing them into play.
You may contact the manufacturer to inquire on the
status of an unlisted bat.
PENALTY for using altered and NON-APPROVED Bat:
Player is declared out and both the Player & Coach are ejected from the game.
How Michigan Teams QUALIFY for 2006 GFP WORLD Series
YOUR TEAM MUST QUALIFY FOR THE NSA
WORLD SERIES TOURNAMENT.
MI NSA Sanctioned Organized League -
For
every eight (8) teams per age group participating in an organized NSA league,
one (1) World Series Berth will be awarded. Team must participate in the
State Tournament. League paperwork & the Teams receiving the berth’s
must be sent into the State
and Zone Office at the completion of the league play.
MI NSA World Qualifying Tournaments - TOP 2 in all Qualifying
Tournaments receive a World Series Berth,
Team MUST Participate in State Tournament to validate the Berth to the World
Series.
Note:
IF the tournament is an A/B combined, ONE Berth for "A" and ONE berth for
"B" will be awarded.
At Large berths will be awarded to teams with the following minimal criteria:
10u - Participate in 2 MI NSA Qualifier and NSA State Championships
12u - Participate in 2 MI NSA Qualifiers and NSA State Championships
14u - Participate in 2 MI NSA Qualifiers and NSA State Championships
16u - Participate in 1 MI NSA Qualifier and NSA State Championships
18u - Participate in 1 MI NSA Qualifier and NSA State Championships
NSA N.I.T. Tournaments - 1st
Place - receives a "Direct Berth" to World Series
and can by-pass the State Tournament. 2nd
& 3rd Place - Receive a World Series Berth, but MUST participate in the
State Tournament to validate their
berth.
NSA SUPER N.I.T. Tournaments -
1st
through 4th Place - Receive a berth to the World Series, but MUST participate in
the State Tournament to
validate their Berth. (1st Place also receives a
"Direct Berth" to the Super World Series - see How to Qualify for
Super Worlds below.)
State Championships:
First through second Place receive a berth to the World Series tournament.
Berths can only be passed by the State Director.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
PARTICIPATE / PLAY
in the STATE TOURNAMENT means a team must physically play in the tournament
or lose their berth. Paying
& NOT SHOWING for the STATE TOURNAMENT WILL BE CAUSE FOR YOU TO LOSE YOUR BERTH! PARTICIPATING/PLAYING in your STATE TOURNAMENT ONLY, DOES
NOT Automatically Qualify your team for the World Series.
NOTE: If a team does NOT participate in a
Michigan NSA
qualifier during the season, they may be required to participate in the "A" State
Championship for their age.

MUST QUALIFY FOR THE NSA SUPER WORLD SERIES TOURNAMENT.

1st Place
receives a DIRECT, PAID BERTH to the Super World Series
The First Place team may bypass State and/or their World
Series Tournament.
The
Tournament Director of the NIT PAYS the 1st Place berth.
ALL Teams have 10 DAYS from the date of NIT to accept their berth
and are required
to submit a $250 check (bond) upon acceptance and submit with entry
form.
The first place team will receive a refund for their bond check
upon the teams’ attendance at the Super World Series.
Berths may be passed down if declined by a higher finishing team,
all passed berths are UNPAID and must be validated by team playing
in State Championships.
NSA-SCHUTT®
Scholarship SUPER NIT -
1st Place - receives an unpaid "Direct Berth" to
SUPER World Series and can by-pass the
State and/or World Series Tournament if they wish.
2nd through 4th Place - Receive a World Series
Berth, but MUST participate in the State Tournament to validate their
berth.
In addition to GREAT AWARDS from SCHUTT SPORTS®
for 1st-3rd Place Teams. One scholarship per age division will be
awarded.
ALL
Participating Players have a chance to win a scholarship.

- STATE CHAMPIONSHIP
Tournaments:
1st
Place
receives an UNPAID DIRECT Berth to the Super World
Berths can be awarded to the State Champions in both
“A” and “B” Divisions: ONLY IF the State holds SEPARATE “A” and
“B” State Championships.
If the State holds only ONE State Championship per Age
Division, then ONLY an “A” berth may be awarded to the Championship
team –
NO “B” Berth may be awarded to ANY team. Berth from the
State Championships may be passed to the second place team is
1st Place already has one.
Team can bypass the World Series if they wish.
- WORLD SERIES
Tournaments:
1st through 13th
Place finishers in the NSA World Series receives automatic berths
to the Super World Series.
TOP 16 TEAMS!
Note: Berths awarded to the 1st Place team in the WORLD
SERIES are PAID berths. All other berths are Unpaid.
The Tournament Director of the World Series PAYS the berths awarded
to the 1st Place teams.
