Approved Equipment List:
BATS:
Only NSA approved bats will be
allowed. Check the National Website for a complete and
up
to date listing of approved bats. www.playnsa.com

Please check by Manufacturer - Model NUMBER and NAME, if a bat is
not posted on the
approved
list, it will NOT be allowed.
Note: It is the coaches/players' responsibility to check their bat(s) to the list
prior to bringing them into play.
You may contact the manufacturer to inquire on the
status of an unlisted bat.
PENALTY for using altered and
NON-APPROVED Bat:
Player is declared out and both the Player & Coach are ejected from the game.
Pitching Distances for
MICHIGAN NSA: 14u tournaments will be at 40 ft - 16u
tournaments will be at 43 ft.
Please make sure to check what the pitching distances will be if you plan to
play out of state.
Remember to send me a travel permit for all out of state tournaments except
World Series.
INSURANCE:
Your Manager/Coach must bring an EXTRA COPY
OF YOUR TEAM INSURANCE Certificate.
This copy will stay with NSA, at the tournament site and will NOT be returned.
Note Regarding
Insurance:
Proof must show Amount
of Coverage as on an actual certificate.
A LETTER stating
you have team insurance IS NOT ACCEPTABLE.
INDIVIDUAL PLAYER INSURANCE CARDS are NOT ACCEPTABLE.
Please Note:
If your team has Individual Player Insurance cards, you need to
contact your
Insurance Company & request a CERTIFICATE of Insurance for the team
to submit for NSA play.
Teams will NOT be allowed to participate without proper proof of team insurance.

THE TEAM!

TEAMS MUST ENTER TOURNAMENTS THROUGH THE ONLINE SYSTEM. You MUST
have your registration number to do so.
Tournament Entries will not be
accepted until FULL payment is received.
Once you enter tournaments online, your spot is NOT held until full payment
is received in our office!
RETURNING: MI NSA Teams may choose to
pay for entry fees online by charge. See Tournament Schedule
All NSA tournaments are filled on a first-come first-served basis.
Any tournament may be
"Closed Off" before the Tournament Entry Deadline if there has
been sufficient entries into the tournament to fill the capacity of the park
hosting it.
NSA reserves the right to combine A & B divisions in a tournament if
deemed necessary.
Tournament entries that are received after the "Tournament
Deadline" may be returned.
Tournament entries that are incomplete or has been received without payment/incorrect payment will be
returned. Regardless of when the NSA Office receives the original entry -
the Early Entry Discount Date will be determined when the corrected entry is
received.
The Tournament Director reserves the right to rule on matters as they
occur, including any deemed necessary to complete the tournament. This
includes changing the tournament format due to unforeseen circumstances such
as weather, etc.
If an order of finish is determined, the tournament will be considered
complete and final.
- Travel Permit - Any MI NSA team that wishes to participate in a NSA
tournament out of State, must submit this form to the State Office 30 days
prior to the tournament.
World Series
QUALIFIERS
AN EARLY ENTRY DISCOUNT
IS AVAILABLE ON GFP QUALIFIERS IN MICHIGAN!
Any registered NSA team
may participate in Qualifying tournaments.
These tournaments are available in different age groups and Divisions "A"
/ "B" depending on the host facility.
Most have a minimum number of games that each team will play, all depending on
Mother Nature of Course!
IF YOUR TEAM
QUALIFIES FOR THE WORLD SERIES TOURNAMENT,
YOU MUST PARTICIPATE IN YOUR STATE TOURNAMENT
OR
YOU WILL LOSE YOUR BERTH.
The Qualifying procedures for FALL tournaments have additional requirements.
NIT & WORLD SERIES Tournaments
NO DISCOUNT ON THESE
TOURNAMENTS.
Any registered NSA team may participate in
STATE
or NIT tournaments.
Teams
that do not participate in a Michigan NSA Qualifier PRIOR to the State Tournament,
may be
required to play in the "A"
State.
IF the ONLY
Michigan NSA tournament a team is playing in is the State Tournament, the team
will be required to play in the "A" Division.

MI NSA World Qualifying Tournaments - TOP 2 in all Qualifying
Tournaments receive a World Series Berth,
Team MUST Participate in State Tournament to validate the Berth to the World
Series.
WATCH FOR
Michigan NSA Scholarship
Weekends!
MI NSA State Championships - Top 2 finishing teams, qualify for the World
Series.
Note:
Teams not participating in a Michigan NSA qualifier prior to the State, may
be required to play in the
"A" State Championships.
IF the ONLY Michigan
NSA tournament a team is playing in is the State Tournament, the team will be
required to play in the "A" Division.
FALL QUALIFIERS (outside tournaments) Teams that receive a berth MUST meet the
following criteria to retain the berth:
1. MUST
have participated in the age group they will be playing the following year
2. MUST
retain 75% of their roster they qualified with
3. MUST
play in at least 1 Michigan NSA qualifier & State Tournament the following year
DOME QUALIFIERS (inside tournaments) Teams that receive a berth MUST meet
the following criteria to retain the berth:
Dome
Tournaments in the FALL/WINTER of the CURRENT year - OCT-NOV-DEC:
1.
MUST have participated in the age group they will be playing the following year,
2. MUST
retain 75% of their roster they qualified with
3. MUST
play in at least 1 Michigan NSA qualifier & State Tournament the following year
Dome
Tournaments AFTER THE NEW YEAR - JAN-FEB-MARCH-APRIL:
1.
MUST have participated in the age group they will be playing during the current
year
2. ALL
NSA Roster rules will apply - Players must be released if leaving team
3. MUST
play in at least 1 Michigan NSA qualifier & State Tournament
NSA NIT
Tournaments - 1st
Place - receives a "Direct Berth" to World Series
and can by-pass the
State Tournament. 2nd
& 3rd Place - Receive a World Series Berth, but MUST participate in the
State
Tournament to validate their
berth.
NOTE: TEAMS CAN BE RECLASSIFIED ANYTIME DURING THE SEASON DUE TO THE
OVERALL STRENGTH OF THE TEAM!

At Large berths will be awarded to teams with the following minimal criteria:
10u - Participate in 3 MI Qualifiers and NSA State Championships
12u - Participate in 3 MI Qualifiers and NSA State Championships
14u - Participate in 3 MI Qualifiers and NSA State Championships
16u - Participate in 2 MI Qualifier and NSA State Championships
18u - Participate in 1 MI Qualifier and NSA State Championships
IMPORTANT INFORMATION

PARTICIPATE / PLAY
in the STATE TOURNAMENT means a team must physically play in the tournament
or lose their berth. Paying
& NOT SHOWING for the STATE TOURNAMENT WILL BE CAUSE FOR YOU
TO LOSE YOUR BERTH!
PARTICIPATING/PLAYING in your STATE TOURNAMENT ONLY, DOES
NOT Automatically Qualify your team for the World Series.
IF the ONLY Michigan
NSA tournament a team is playing in is the State Tournament, the team will be
required to play in the "A" Division.
