Bring to each tournament:
COPY of Official NSA ONLINE ROSTER
ALL
Tournament TEAMS MUST USE the NSA Online ROSTER.

Your Manager/Coach must bring an
EXTRA COPY OF YOUR
Official NSA
ONLINE ROSTER to * Each Tournament.
This copy will stay with NSA, at the tournament
site and will NOT BE RETURNED.

Your Manager/Coach must bring an EXTRA COPY
OF YOUR TEAM INSURANCE Certificate to *Each Tournament.
This copy will stay with NSA, at the tournament site and will NOT be returned.
Note Regarding
Insurance:
Proof must show Amount
of Coverage as on an actual certificate.
A LETTER stating
you have team insurance IS NOT ACCEPTABLE.
INDIVIDUAL PLAYER
INSURANCE CARDS are NOT ACCEPTABLE.
Please Note:
If your team has Individual Player
Insurance cards, you need to contact your
Insurance Company & request a CERTIFICATE of Insurance for the team
to submit for NSA play.
Teams will NOT be allowed to participate without proper proof of team insurance.

PLEASE
NOTE:
If you fail to bring
copies to leave at the tournament site, you will be charged $1 per sheet for our office to supply copies for
you.
* NSA should
have the above information on file after you participate in
your first tournament.
Although we would all like to think that we don’t make
mistakes, sometimes it happens. NSA must have this information on hand
BEFORE YOU MAY PARTICIPATE, so, if you always have an extra copy to leave at the
tournament site,
it will help us in case we temporarily misplace any of your paperwork.
Bring to each tournament:
BIRTH CERTIFICATES / DRIVER’S LICENSES
/ STATE PHOTO ID
Your Manager/Coach is responsible for having a copy of each player’s
Birth Certificate or Driver’s
License/State Photo ID on hand at each tournament.
NSA does NOT
need copies of Birth Certificates/Driver’s Licenses/State Photo ID.
The Manager/Coach should have them on hand in case of protest.

ROSTERS - GENERAL INFORMATION
This section is general information only!
For FULL information regarding rosters, and player eligibility, please check
your rulebook.

It is the
coach’s responsibility to know the rules and bylaws of NSA. Ignorance of
a rule or bylaw
DOES NOT negate the penalties.

Players can only participate on ONE team during the season.
-
Players cannot play on two different AGE GROUPS with in the same
organization.
Players CANNOT be borrowed for a weekend. Even IF they are
age eligible to play both age divisions.
Examples: A 14 year old cannot play one weekend with the 14u team, and then
play a different weekend with the 16u team because they need players for a
particular weekend.
Players cannot play on a 12u team and a 14u team on the same weekend.
This is an ineligible/illegal player. PLAYER AND COACH WILL BE
SUSPENDED FOR 1 YEAR.

Players participating that are not listed on the Official NSA ONLINE Roster
will be considered an ineligible/illegal player. PLAYER AND COACH WILL BE
SUSPENDED FOR 1 YEAR.
ALL players participating in NSA tournaments must be listed on the
official NSA Online Roster. All players must sign their own name, and if
under the age of 18 must have parent or legal guardian signature in order to
participate.

Players participating under an assumed name or "borrowing a jersey" for
the weekend without being listed correctly on the NSA Online Roster will
be considered and ineligible/illegal player. PLAYER and COACH WILL
BE SUSPENDED FOR 1 YEAR.

Players cannot be listed on two NSA rosters at one time
without an official Player Release form on file in State Office and APPROVED
by the State Director before the player participates with the new team.
This is an ineligible/illegal player. PLAYER AND COACH WILL BE
SUSPENDED FOR 1 YEAR.

Player Release Form - it is possible for a player
to be released from their current team to participate with a NEW TEAM or AGE
GROUP. It can only be done once a year, and a Player Release Form must be
signed by the current coach, player, and parent, it must also be
approved by your State Director, PRIOR to the change in team.
Contact your State Director for guidance. Pick up of certain players
could change your teams’ classification by changing the overall strength of
your team.
NOTE: Once a player has been released from a team, they
cannot change teams again during the season. This means they cannot go back to
the original team. Players cannot be released from an “A” team to
play with a “B” team.

Adding Players to your roster - This may be done
anytime during the season before the State Tournament. A NEW COPY of your
roster must be provided to the NSA State Office BEFORE THE NEW PLAYER
PARTICIPATES. Once you have filled your roster (20 Players) you cannot add
any additional players. Player’s names do NOT get deleted from the roster
for any reason. Not even if you release a player, injury, relocation or if
the player quits the team. For questions regarding adding players after the
State Tournament, please contact the NSA State Office.

18u Teams - Any team with a player on the roster that has
participated on a COLLEGE SOFTBALL TEAM MUST participate in "A"
Classification.

Use the Official NSA ONLINE Roster, completely filled out
including all signatures.
-
Any player under the age of 18 must have a parent’s signature in
order to participate.

Take a signed copy of the NSA Roster to leave at the site of each NSA
tournament you participate in.

Contact your State Director IF your team is traveling
out-of-state for an NSA tournament – some states require a Travel permit 30
days prior to the tournament.

Please
check bats by Manufacturer - Model NUMBER and NAME, if a bat is not
posted on
the approved
list, it will NOT be allowed.
Note:
It is the coaches/players responsibility to check their bat(s) to the list
prior to bringing them into play.
You may contact the manufacturer to inquire on the
status of an unlisted bat.
Face Guards:
Face Guards are Mandatory.
