TEAMS MUST HAVE ALL INFORMATION TO THEIR STATE DIRECTOR BY THIS DATE!
It is important to follow these guidelines.   LATE ENTRIES, INCOMPLETE ENTRIES, ENTRIES WITH
MISSING INFORMATION, or Entries NOT Submitted through your State Director may be returned and
your team may not be accepted for entry into this tournament
.

 
        TEAMS MUST  have the following information TO THEIR STATE DIRECTOR no later then Thursday, July 3, 2008.
            1.  Copy of 2008 Official NSA ONLINE Roster - Completely filled out will ALL signatures
            2.  Copy of 2008 Team Insurance Certificate
   
       3.  Official NSA Entry Form AND Team Contact Information Sheet - Completely filled out w/NSA # AND signatures.
            4.       Fee of $600.00 in form of Money Order/Cashiers Check made payable to NSA  (8u is $450.00)

It is the Managers responsibility to insure that all of the above information meets all deadlines and requirements.
Your State Director will then verify and approve your team’s entry, and forward it to the Tournament Director by deadline listed in this packet.

ROSTERS & INSURANCE:  Your Official NSA ONLINE Youth Roster, along with your entry form, entry fee, and
PROOF OF TEAM INSURANCE must be sent through your State Director for APPROVAL.  Teams will NOT be allowed
to participate without a fully complete NSA ONLINE roster (this means ALL signatures), AND A COPY OF TEAM INSURANCE POLICY.  
Roster and Proof of Insurance must be turned into your State Director NO LATER than THURSDAY, July 3, 2008 for verification and approval. 
Names will NOT be added to any roster at the tournament site for ANY reason.

 Birth Certificates – Driver’s License:  Coach or manager must have proof of age on hand at all times, either copy 
of Birth Certificate or Government Issue Picture ID.  NSA does NOT need copies.   Please be prepared for spot checks at
any time during the tournament.  Managers should also have on hand a copy of tournament roster and copy of insurance certificate.

:    Sunday, July 20, 2008  1:30 PM - 2:30 PM at EastSide Centre
                     Limit of two (2) Coach/Manager representatives per team.
                  
  It is VERY IMPORTANT to have a representative at the Managers Meeting.  This is the only time
                     that details regarding the World Series will be discussed.  Any last minute changes or updates will be
                     announced at this meeting.

     OPENING CELEBRATION:   Sunday, July 20th at the O'Brien Field  Opening Celebration will begin at 5:30 PM
                                             Teams will parade - bring your banners!

Gates will open at 4:00 PM for those not attending the Chiefs game that begins at 2:00 PM

 PLAYING RULES: NSA rules will govern all play in strict accordance with the NSA Rule Book.
It is the coach/managers responsibility to know the rules & bylaws of NSA.  Ignorance of a rule or
bylaw of NSA does NOT negate the penalty.  NSA rule book is available online 24/7 at www.playnsa.com

GAMES
    1.   PLEASE ALLOW AMPLE TIME TO ARRIVE AT FIELDS FOR YOUR GAMES -
          EXPECT DELAYS DUE TO EARLY MORNING TRAFFIC AND Parking.
    2.  All teams must be present at the field Thirty (30) Minutes prior to the game time posted on the bracket
         board, READY TO TAKE THE FIELD.  Games may begin up to 15 minutes early if field is available.

    3.  Tournament Director could move games to a different field posted on the brackets based on field
         availability.  Just because your field might be behind it does NOT change your game time.  Teams
         could be moved to a vacant field to keep tournament moving and games on time.
    4.  Roster Checks may be done at anytime during the tournament.

 UNIFORMS: To be in strict accordance with NSA team dress code.  NO METAL -OR-  METAL TIPPED CLEATS!
                      

NSA Approved Equipment List:

    BATS:   Only NSA approved bats will be allowed.  Check the National Website for a complete and up to date 
    listing of approved equipment.   www.playnsa.com  click on:  Approved Equipment
    Please check bats by Manufacturer - Model NUMBER and NAME, if a bat is not posted 
    on the
approved list, it will NOT be allowed.
  
 Note: It is the coaches/players' responsibility to check their bats to the list prior to bringing them into play.
            
You may contact the manufacturer to inquire on the status of an unlisted bat.

     SOFTBALL:   NSA black stitched optic yellow softballs are provided. Umpires will control the balls and umpire
    decisions are final on softballs.


CONDITIONS: The tournament committee reserves the right to rule on matters as they may occur, including any deemed
necessary to complete the tournament.  This includes changing the tournament format, which may include game times, 
playing fields or dates, including dropping the loser’s bracket if necessary, due to unforeseen circumstances (weather, etc.).  
The Tournament Directors, committee, sponsors, and hosts assume that all players are competing at their own risk and will
not be liable for accidents or injuries.  Entry in to this tournament constitutes agreement of these conditions.

PROTEST: Umpire judgment calls are final.  There will be a $75.00 CASH ONLY protest fee.
  If protest is ruled in your favor, your money will be returned.

GIFT EXCHANGE  and SWAPS:   Will be done during Opening Celebrations after teams parade onto the field.
Teams wishing to exchange or swap a gift will have an "age specific" area where they will be directed & will be
matched up with a team to exchange gifts with.

TOURNAMENT ADMISSION:   Admission or Gate Fees are included in the Entry Fee - This includes for All Spectators & Family Members!  

 MISS NSA Contest If you wish to submit a candidate for the Annual Miss NSA World Series, the
                          deadline for submission is Thursday, July 3, 2008

Souvenir Photo will be taken by "The Sports Section", Ken Brooke Photographer.  
Teams can have their pictures taken the night of opening ceremonies, or before their game during the weekend.
Details will be discussed at the Mangers Meeting, and the Photographer will be at Check In to schedule team photos.
Team photo plaques will be available for purchase at the tournament site.  Each team will receive ONE FREE PHOTO,
compliments of the tournament sponsors.  Your team will receive all photo orders before leaving the tournament.

            and then a left on Broadway. Look for the large white dome that will be just past the Sears. Take a left on Olt Ave
            and then a right on Griffin Ave.
            From Bloomington – 74 to 474. Exit at Rt. 29. You will stay on this until you get to Court St. in Pekin. Take a left

 Take Route 29 to East Fairview Lane.  Fields located at rear of subdivision next to Illinois River.
        From Bloomington or Peoria – (From Bloomington add 74 to Peoria as first step) Take Rt. 29 (or Adams St.) north.
        Medina Township Park is located about ½ mile north of Detweiller Park. Take a right on Fairview and proceed to the
        end of the street.

        Take 74 to Exit 95B (Camp Street). Turn Right on East Washington Street (first set of traffic lights, crossing the railroad track).
