It is important to follow these guidelines.   LATE ENTRIES, INCOMPLETE ENTRIES, ENTRIES WITH
MISSING INFORMATION, or Entries NOT Submitted through your State Director may be returned and
your team may not be accepted for entry into this tournament
.

 
        TEAMS MUST  have the following information TO THEIR STATE DIRECTOR no later then JULY 7th.
            1.  Copy of 2006 Official NSA ONLINE Roster - Completely filled out will ALL signatures
            2.  Copy of 2006 Team Insurance Certificate
   
       3.  Official NSA Entry Form AND Team Contact Information Sheet - Completely filled out w/NSA # AND signatures.
            4.       Entry Fee of $300.00 in form of Money Order/Cashiers Check made payable to NSA

It is the Managers responsibility to insure that all of the above information meets all deadlines and requirements.
Your State Director will then verify and approve your team’s entry, and forward it to the Tournament Director by deadline listed in this packet.

 
ROSTERS & INSURANCE:  Your Official NSA ONLINE Youth Roster, along with your entry form, entry fee, and
PROOF OF TEAM INSURANCE must be sent through your State Director for APPROVAL.  Teams will NOT be allowed
to participate without a fully complete NSA ONLINE roster (this means ALL signatures), AND A COPY OF TEAM INSURANCE POLICY.  
Roster and Proof of Insurance must be turned into your State Director by July 7th, 2006 for verification and approval. 
Names will NOT be added to any roster at the tournament site for ANY reason.

 Birth Certificates – Driver’s License:  Coach or manager must have proof of age on hand at all times, either copy 
of Birth Certificate or Government Issue Picture ID.  NSA does NOT need copies.   Please be prepared for spot checks at
any time during the tournament.  Managers should also have on hand a copy of tournament roster and copy of insurance certificate.


CONDITIONS
:
The tournament committee reserves the right to rule on matters as they may occur, including any deemed
necessary to complete the tournament.  This includes changing the tournament format, which may include game times, 
playing fields or dates, including dropping the loser’s bracket if necessary, due to unforeseen circumstances (weather, etc.).  
The Tournament Directors, committee, sponsors, and hosts assume that all players are competing at their own risk and will
not be liable for accidents or injuries.  Entry in to this tournament constitutes agreement of these conditions.

                clinics for Dick’s Sporting Goods. Tonya was a college All-American in softball and was also the
                pitcher in the movie “A League of Their Own”. 
                Her brother, Tom Gilles will also be out there helping the kids that want to hit in the batting cages
                that will be set up at the Shoppes.  Tom pitched for the Toronto Blue Jays.

 PLAYING RULES: NSA rules will govern all play in strict accordance with the NSA Rule Book.
It is the coach/managers responsibility to know the rules & bylaws of NSA.  Ignorance of a rule or
bylaw of NSA does NOT negate the penalty.  NSA rule book is available online 24/7 at www.playnsa.com

GAMES
    1.   PLEASE ALLOW AMPLE TIME TO ARRIVE AT FIELDS FOR YOUR GAMES -
          EXPECT DELAYS DUE TO EARLY MORNING TRAFFIC AND GATE PERSONNEL SELLING/CHECKING PASSES.
    2.  All teams must be present at the field Thirty (30) Minutes prior to the game time posted on the bracket
         board, READY TO TAKE THE FIELD.  Games will begin up to 15 minutes early if field is available.

    3.  Tournament Director could move games to a different field posted on the brackets based on field
         availability.  Just because your field might be behind it does NOT change your game time.  Teams
         could be moved to a vacant field to keep tournament moving and games on time.
    4.  Roster Checks may be done at anytime during the tournament.

 UNIFORMS: To be in strict accordance with NSA team dress code.  NO METAL -OR-  METAL TIPPED CLEATS!

                                All Face Guards must bear the NOCSAE Stamp
                                        per the 2006 NSA Rulebook

 SOFTBALL:   NSA black stitched optic yellow softballs are provided. Umpires will control the balls and umpire
decisions are final on softballs.

NSA Approved Equipment List:

    BATS:   Only NSA approved bats will be allowed.  Check the National Website for a complete and up to date 
    listing of approved equipment.   www.playnsa.com  click on:  Approved Equipment
    Please check bats by Manufacturer - Model NUMBER and NAME, if a bat is not posted 
    on the
approved list, it will NOT be allowed.
  
 Note: It is the coaches/players' responsibility to check their bats to the list prior to bringing them into play.
            
You may contact the manufacturer to inquire on the status of an unlisted bat.

PROTEST: Umpire judgment calls are final.  There will be a $75.00 CASH ONLY protest fee.
  If protest is ruled in your favor, your money will be returned.

GIFT EXCHANGE  and SWAPS:   Each team is requested to bring individual “swaps” to exchange with the first team they play. 
These can be any small token, such as a souvenir from your area of the country.  The swaps will be exchanged
at the beginning of each team’s first ball game.  In cases where a team has a bye, managers should find another
team with a bye to share their swaps with.  Team managers of these teams should get together and arrange
a time for exchanges.

If you cannot attend check in, the manager may pick up passes at the managers meeting. 
Tournament pass will be sold at a discount only until July
7th.   Order must be RECEIVED in office by JULY 7th.

Passes ordered in advance will be mailed to you.

If at all possible, purchase Tournament passes prior to the day of the tournament.

PASSES AT SOME COMPLEXES MAY BE CHECKED WHILE PLAYERS and SPECTATORS ARE IN THEIR VEHICLES

 AWARDS:  1st - 13th Place Teams (TOP 16 TEAMS) will receive SUPER WORLD SERIES BERTHS:
               Note:  Berths awarded to the 1st Place team in the WORLD SERIES are PAID berths.  All other berths are unpaid.
            
   The Tournament Director of the World Series PAYS the berths awarded to the 1st Place teams.
               ALL Teams are required to submit a $250 check upon acceptance and submit with entry form. 
               The first place team will receive a refund for their bond check ($250 check) upon the teams’ attendance
              
at the Super World Series.      There are NO passed berths.

                All Super World Series Berths must be accepted prior to August 10, 2006.

Details will be discussed at the Mangers Meeting, and the Photographer will be at Check In to schedule team photos.
Team photo plaques will be available for purchase at the tournament site.  Each team will receive ONE FREE PHOTO,
compliments of the tournament sponsors.  Your team will receive all photo orders before leaving the tournament.

     If your team is coming in EARLY and interested in a practice fields or a SCRIMMAGE GAME
     before the tournament begins, please call VIC LAREDO @ 309-253-8222
   
Vic may be able to make arrangements for teams to scrimmage or let you know where to practice that will not cause issues.

Complex Rules:  Please note:  NO PETS     NO SMOKING inside complex (Designated Smoking Areas Outside of facility)
    Shade tents are allowed.
   Your team may bring their own water jugs or water coolers into the facility.
    NO Outside food or drink is allowed into the facility.  NO COOLERS!

Sites WILL BE USED in addition to EastSide Centre, a list of possible sites will be posted. 
Actual sites used will depend on the overall number of teams accepting their berths.
 
Sites will be posted on the website with addresses when available.  The Tournament Director reserves the right
to add new fields and ballparks or eliminate fields and ballparks if deemed necessary to conduct the tournament.
